True Thankfulness
1 min readModern Eco Life –
What are you thankful for? After pondering this myself, before asking my children, I thought I am truly thankful for the life I have. Is it perfect? Of course not! I have regrets, failings and short-comings, but I love where I am right now. Maybe, I am happy to hunker down for the winter and enjoy the whimsy of the holidays, or maybe it’s the delightful ages of my children. Whatever the combination of circumstances, I am thankful.
I created small accordion style thankful books for each of my children out of scrap supplies at home. The best part was sitting down with each one individually to have them capture on paper what they were thankful for. If you want to create a meaningful opportunity to interact with your children, another idea is to make a family garland of gratitude.
Right now, with uncertain economic times and other fears that hold our attention, it is a nice reminder this time of year for us as moms to focus on the great things we are blessed with.
